It is always interesting to observe the way gedolim greet and treat young children. It is with warmth and love, a reflection of their caring and sensitive hearts.
This past week, philanthropist Eyal Moshiach visited Rav Chaim Kanievsky with his three-year-old grandson in honor of his upsherin. Rav Chaim cut the young boy’s hair and then, to Rav Chaim’s surprise, the boy presented him with a drawing that he drew in honor of the gadol.
Rav Chaim took the painting and smiled. He turned to the boy and said softly, “Well done! May you grow to become a great talmid chochom.”
