Rav Aharon Teitelbaum of Satmar is set to travel to Eretz Yisroel this coming month to take part in the marriage of his nephew, a son of Rav Chaim Tzvi Meisels, as well as the bar mitzvah of a grandson of the Dushinsky Rebbe.
In a drashah delivered last night at the chanukas habayis of a new bais medrash in Kiryas Yoel, the Rebbe discussed the upcoming trip. “I’m going, im yirtzeh Hashem, in a few weeks to Eretz Yisroel on the occasion of a simcha in the family. I want to be mechazeik the mosdos in Eretz Yisroel. ”
The Rebbe turned to his Chassidim and said: “I ask that you remain home. I do not need you to join me… I was offered to spend Shabbos in Meron. I have never spent Shabbos in Meron… Im yirtzeh Hashem, on Shabbos Parshas Pekudei I will be in Meron.
“In the past,” he continued, “I traveled to Israel Eretz Yisroel without noise, without propaganda, and I didn’t take with me a crowd. Now, as well, I don’t need a kabbolas ponim, no lights on the street, no notices in the street, big and small, no special vehicles and all these forms of nonsense,” said the Rebbe .
“I’m working to ensure that the bochurim won’t be busy with silly things like this.”
